Installation Instructions for Fixed/Buried Installation

To do this yourself:

  1. Dig a 6-inch-wide, 1-foot-deep (approx.) small fencepost-like hole for the sign near your house entrance, close to your street door. Choose a visible spot from the road where it can receive sunlight throughout the day. This ensures that the sign is easily seen and effectively marks your entrance.
  2. Insert the base end of the signpost into the hole (avoid hitting the electronics on top of the post!).
  3. Cover the hole with pebbles and soil (or cement, if preferred) while keeping the post straight vertically.
  4. If using soil, compact the fill solidly as you add it.
  5. Sign will light up automatically at dusk or when dark. It doesn't need maintenance or setup!
